They asked me for my social security number and did a hard look at my credit report causing my credit to drop. I went to purchase a car at this place and before I could even look at cars to even see if they had a car. He has an extended warranty that he's refusing to use if his vehicle is actually mechanically failing. It has been almost 6 months since his purchase, at which point it is *** ******* responsibility to accept full responsibility and ownership of his vehicle. *** ***** had ample opportunity to drive the vehicle, look at the vehicle, and do any other thing he desired before purchasing it. It is impossible for any Dealer to know the true history of a approximately 7yr old car that has only been in our possession for a handful of days/weeks. As far as the past history of the vehicle goes. I am more than happy to trade *** ***** out of the vehicle into a newer vehicle if he desires. Unfortunately that is really not an option for him. *** ***** requested that the Dealership exchange his vehicle at no cost with something else. I told him that his warranty on the vehicle is good at all major Manufacturer OEM Dealerships for any major mechanical repairs. The tire shop has "upsold" him on several routine and preventative maintenance services on his vehicle. I asked why and he said that the mechanic shop "Ken Towery's Tire Shop" didn't accept it. *** ***** has an extended warranty on his vehicle that he has not tried to use. I addressed all of his questions and concerns, including solutions to any service issues he possibly had. I called and personally spoke to *** *****. Let me know if any further help is needed from us here at Knox Budget Car Sales. I tried to help *** *****, but he refused the help we offered. Unfortunately, as a Dealer and business we cannot just release people from their contracts of asset and financial obligation 6 months later for the purpose of them not being happy. We left off our conversation that if I didn't take the vehicle back, he would just continue to slander us through media outlets. His warranty and/or my offer to trade him out of this vehicle are his best solutions to fixing his problem, but for some reason he is declining both. All he wants at this point is for me to let him out of the vehicle and financial obligation, which is not a possibility. I also offered to trade *** ***** out of the vehicle no problem if he was this unhappy with it. I assured him that this was not the case but he for some reason didn't want to listen to me. However, I assured him that he has a 2yr 24k mile extended service contract that he has refused to use because his mechanic told him that extended service contracts were useless in repairing cars. I apologized to him for not being happy 6months later after purchase. Brakes, spark plugs, along with a handful of other Service Shop Up Sell Services he agreed to. He told me a few issues he had with the vehicle over the past 6 months, majority of which have been routine maintenance for a vehicle of 7yrs of age and over 70k miles. I have spoken to *** ***** on the phone recently. In regard to *** ******* complaint about his 2017 Kia Forte he purchased in January 2023.
